Please Note- (posted here 28/03/2024) Weymouth Gay Group have tried contacting Craft with Pride several times in early 2024. but did not get a reply. However, they did reply several months later confirming the event was cancelled. .

Breaking news! Weymouth Craft with Pride is OFF! (posted here 28/03/2024 update 01/04/2024)
The Weymouth Craft with Pride is CANCELLED!
Following several attempts to contact the organisers, with no reply for several months, we phoned the venue for further information. Weymouth Rugby Club confirmed that the Craft with Pride event is NOT going ahead, and also expressed their disappointment.
This is extremely disappointing as we have produced posters helping to promote it, as one of seven Dorset Prides this year. It was due to run on June 15th.
Update (01/04/2024) While we are grateful for an email (at last!) from Lynn (organiser) to us WGG, we are also aware of numerous comments on social media about possibly why Weymouth Craft with Pride was cancelled.

"Weymouth Craft with Pride is an event bringing crafters together with the Pride community" The New Weymouth Pride - “Craft with Pride” is presently seeking interest and support. Taking place at Weymouth Rugby Club on Saturday 15th June 2024, the event will showcase a range of rainbow crafts (see poster) and will have a variety of other attractions too. Lynn, the organiser said “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Weymouth Pride 2024“ She added:- “At this stage we are looking for people interested in having a stall, and also sponsors”. Weymouth Gay Group (WGG) are very pleased to see another New Pride event in our area and wonder with the Pub Prides end of May (three in Dorset 2023), two Youth Prides (in Dorchester & Weymouth 2023), and Bournemouth’s BourneFree, if we might be on course to break the 2023 record of SIX Dorset Pride events in a year. Let’s hope so! |

If you like Pride events, why not volunteer to help out at one? They can't run with out lots of help and support from our community, and it can be loads of fun helping out too! Pride - a protest or celebration? What are your views?
